@LT3000Lyall This 1% data point is very likely wrong by orders of magnitude and invalidates the entire thesis. Someone else posted the CDC link with numbers for severe side effects and all numbers are < 0.01%.
Where did you get this information?
@LelakRichard As I read it, they only have 60.8% of the votes already secured: if I'm not mistaken the director votes are already included in the 20.8M votes, so should not be double counted.
@BurggrabenH April yoy numbers are using a low base though, it was pretty much peak shutdown last year. I don't think this growth should be extrapolated.
@rosemontseneca The EVs of cruise lines are already higher than pre-Covid. I don't see good risk reward here. Is your thesis that they get an earnings spike higher than in 2019 due to pent up demand?
How is this smart? Surely they need $ in their day to day life. So how is it any different for those people when compared to them just buying bitcoin with part of their salary if they want it?
There is no connection between the stock market and reality.
A thread:
1. Airlines spent 96% of free cash flow on stock buybacks for a decade, then cut 90,000 jobs as soon as trouble hits. Then they got a $50 billion bailout

@cgst@chamath@RobinhoodApp@SoFi I would love it if an innovation that comes out of the crypto tech is opening up trading: no more brokerages which get to limit what you do or go down at inopportune times, clearing houses, etc.
Personally not sold on the coins, but this I'd embrace.
@cgst@chamath@RobinhoodApp@SoFi IMO RH did permanent damage to their brand, trust is the most important aspect in their business. Trust is the most important aspect when it comes to the relationship with your broker, and I think a significant portion of their users lost theirs.
