@ItsAGambleThing @Protestia Jesus was always Jesus. Jesus is God. The alpha and omega. The beginning and the end. Having a sense of wonder about ancient writing that you and I cannot fully explain is not always heresy. God is in the bible, but the bible does not fully contain God.

@ItsAGambleThing @Protestia The Hebrew word for light in “let there be light is different than the light used for the sun and moon. One of the meanings is “light of Jehovah”.

@ItsAGambleThing @Protestia Understanding this, Revelations tells us that Jesus is the light of the New Jerusalem, with no need for the Sun or moon. This speaks directly back to the beginning where God declares the first light, which was also not the sun or the moon. John calls Jesus that light.

@Protestia Actually John called Jesus the “Light” in the beginning on John 1. John said Jesus was the light in the “beginning”. Perhaps God spoke a part of Himself into a new being, Jesus, both God and Son of God, in the “beginning”. Why can’t a believer meditate on this possibility?
