@leehaber@Snake1633691791@internet_paolo@Vote4ABC Because they are car centric people. People shop, not cars, but those businesses don’t get it, I know people would avoid driving downtown because of how expensive the parking is. They just don’t get it.
@Snake1633691791@internet_paolo@Vote4ABC Funny enough that Water street pedestrian zone should be all summer and ABC decided car needs access so they said only couple sundays will be pedestrian zone last year.
@VanCityPOV@D3Vancouvers@Vote4ABC Problem is that the drivers are horrible here, I drive past this intersection lots of times and almost got hit twice because they don’t turn into the right most lane on red. And it’s not a “new” restriction, it’s been there since 2022. I would agree it is backing up traffic.
Spent some time door knocking today and, as always, the most valuable part was listening.
Residents shared their thoughts, concerns, and ideas about our city, and I appreciated every conversation. Whether people agreed or disagreed, hearing directly from the community is essential to good leadership and better decision-making.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us. These conversations matter, and they help ensure we stay connected to the people we serve.
I truly enjoyed being out in the community and hearing what matters most to Vancouver residents.
