I’m genuinely fucking angry all the time. I don’t understand how everyone isn’t. Rape, genocide, lynching, fascism… WHY ISNT EVERYONE MORE FUCKING ANGRY
On the Cornell 7 and Jane Doe: I don't know if anyone reads or follows LA Magazine? I don't.
But they have been intensely covering the situation, and failed to publicly disclosed what is a glaring conflict of interest, while promising a "bombshell" to come.
The attorney for Winston Lee, one of the Cornell 7 who is from a very prominent and wealthy South Korean family (his grandfather is a former prime minister), has hired Teny Geragos, a high profile attorney, to represent him.
The co-owner of LA Magazine is Mark Geragos, Teny's dad. Their relationship has not been publicly disclosed as a conflict of interest in their coverage. One of the LA Magazine reporters is promising a "bombshell" to discredit Jane Doe. Just making you all aware.
H/t to David Denney for bringing this to my attention.
Friendly reminder that walking is a legitimate workout. The only reason it gets downplayed is because big fitness hasn't found a way to package, brand, and sell you outdoor air yet.

@hudsonwupdates “Hudson snuck up on me. I watched his tape a few times, and I couldn’t quite shake it. There was something about him that I connected with. I knew he was the best actor that read for the part.”
Jacob Tierney on casting Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie in ‘Heated Rivalry’ ❤️ (via fearorlove_)
“I got so lucky with my leads. I remember very clearly the moment I knew Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams were the right actors. The most important thing to me is chemistry. Without that, two people can be so right for each part individually and just not work together. But these guys worked so well together. When they read, it was explosive. It was clear to me within the first 10 lines of dialogue. They lit each other up -feeding off each other's energy. They threw each other off, they caught each other before they could fall. They made each other blush. They made each other laugh. Magic. Alchemy.
Hudson snuck up on me. I watched his tape a few times, and I couldn't quite shake it. There was something about him that I connected with. I knew he was the best actor that read for the part, but there was something that I couldn't put my finger on that made me hesitate. It's funny because Shane is also more subtle as a character. Hudson captured that subtlety so well, and I think that's what I was picking up on the more times I watched his material.
[…] There was a real physical specificity to Rachel's Shane and Ilya that neither of these actors fit, but somehow, they worked perfectly anyway. They showed us everything that was already on the page and elevated it all with their talent. The casting process took months but once everyone saw them together, it was very clear: Forget what you had in your head. This is Shane, this is Ilya. And it's better than anything we ever had any right to expect.”
"they've just hired four rapists to play for them [the nhl]."
jacob, i may have my occasional low-stakes beef with you, but THIS—this is everything. speaking it plainly and speaking it loudly. bravo. 👏🏻
Nigerians are praying, while their politicians loot away their future.
₦60 billion there. ₦120 trillion here. Billions disappear, generations pay the price.
And somehow, we’re still waiting for God to fix what we keep allowing men to destroy.
