In med school, I took an elective called "Stress", foolishly thinking I was going to learn about meditation and yoga. Instead the professor spent 6 weeks proving that being poor or a minority literally destroys your health on a molecular level, and I think about that every day.

As a discipline, design is particularly good at operating in a state of denial—masterfully redecorating the surface and maintaining business as usual. We don’t need more design webinars, zoom studio sessions, virtual design festivals and digital salons, probably biennales, too.

@SanttuRaisanen I mean, both are obviously filled with a disgusting amount of products with a way too short life time. But haven’t gotten the impression that it’s their restaurant that makes Muji so popular around the world, rather than their products and “design values”
