On this special day of International Menstrual Hygiene, Iris Mireille Irankunda, a gender and human rights activist from @giz_gmbh, gave a talk on gender-based violence and the rights of individuals, especially during menstruation, in the Burora Secondary school in @MusanzeDistrict
She said: “Having your period does not take away a girl’s potential.”
Additionally, before distributing pads, students were first taught how to track their menstrual cycle. Thank you @KosmotiveRwanda for this initiative
We are celebrating 28 years of transforming lives at Rwanda Women's Network.
We’ve empowered countless women and helped them heal from physical and emotional trauma. Safe Space programs are essential for healing and empowerment.

As the festive season approaches, we want to extend our sincere gratitude as your partnership has been a catalyst for meaningful change, contributing to our shared mission of healing, empowering, and transforming the lives of women while preventing gender-based violence.
Among the recommendations made was the need of decentralizing such dialogues at provincial and district levels in order to inform more citizens on the newly revised constitution.
The meeting also provided a platform for learning and understanding the reasons behind the revisions, the gender consideration in the revised Constitution and exploring the link the new revised Rwandan Constitution has towards women effective empowerment in decision making.
As the SDG5 Forum Convener, in partnership with @unwomenrwanda, we held a Breakfast Meeting to disseminate the newly revised Rwandan Constitution highlighting the role of CSOs in its implementation with the Minister of Justice and AG, Dr. @eugirashebuja1 as the guest of honor.
Huge thanks to @womenstrongintl ED, @suzyblaustein from for visiting our safe space @BugeseraDistr! Her presence and support mean the world to us. Together, thru the "Couples For Healthy Relationships" project, we're empowering couples for healthier, happier lives free of GBV.
Ending an empowering 3-day training with village leaders on #GBV prevention and response! Proud of local leaders in @KayonzaDistrict & @Rubavu taking a stand against gender-based violence and working towards a safer and equitable future for community members.
