Interestingly enough we had an inspection recently and they didn’t speak to the teachers themselves, only Head’s of department.

I was ready to boast about my children’s progress but no luck 🤷🏻‍♀️

@PrimaryRocks1 @LTeacher123 In my setting (severe ASD) it can take weeks or months to be able to understand something in a deep and profound manor.

On top of learning how to manage emotions, sensory needs, physical needs and life skills... the time is so minimal and the coverage is so wide!

@PrimaryRocks1 @LTeacher123 Unfortunately, the pressures to cover such a wide range of areas of knowledge really limit the ability to achieve deep and profound learning.

@PrimaryRocks1 @LTeacher123 Knowing more and remembering more sounds like ‘deep and profound learning’ to me.
This means learning in different scenarios, situations, with different people and applying that new knowledge in a variety of ways.

Thank goodness, ofsted have left the building... can’t help but feel frustrated that they didn’t visit my class much.

Explains my recent absence 🙈

Anyone else had this feeling or am I a complete anomaly 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Today’s touch and taste selection.

Such an amazing program to develop pupils confidence in trying new foods. I rolled this out in the first week and have seen some significant differences and big increases in confidence!

@PrimaryRocks1 @ReadingExplorer Last week I enthusiastically asked my youngest pupil if he wanted to be a superstar. He looked me straight in the eyes (extremely rare considering he is autistic) and shook his head with the proudest look on his face.

The whole team burst into laughter!
