The real bottleneck was never writing code. It's releasing it, debugging it, & keeping it running well. So when @Honeycombio CTO Charity Majors set a productivity target, she didn't chase 10x. She chose 2x, & built from there.

@jonathanbylos@mcuban@VivekGaripalli I think that’s especially the problem. IT is often regarded as a cost center outside of tech companies. This can make it worse. AI transformation needs to be taken seriously so education and strategy lead the way while overpromises take a back seat.

@AustinRoy007@millatevin It’s not a discussion worth having to that degree IMO, too many assumptions especially if you’ve not been a part of such an establishment or built at such scale.

@petergyang I would assume software getting cheaper, will result to an investment in service delivery. Customer reliability engineering feels what this solving for beyond AI not being able to do it better
