Last year, CDA digitised water tanker payments on QR to eliminate long queues and enable instant access for citizens.Unfortunately, the initiative was discontinued. It’s about time we revive it and deliver the convenience citizens were promised.

درختوں کے معاملے پر جاری بحث میں کچھ بنیادی حقائق سامنے رکھنا ضروری ہیں۔

درخت کاٹے جا رہے ہیں؟ مختصر جواب (جی ہاں)

عدالتی احکامات یا ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے تحت کاٹے گئے ہر درخت کے بدلے 3 درخت لگائے جا رہے ہیں۔ چونکہ اس وقت شجرکاری کا موزوں موسم نہیں، اس لیے معمول سے قدرے بڑے پودے لگائے جا رہے ہیں۔

مناسب موسم آتے ہی مربوط کوششوں کے ساتھ باقاعدہ شجرکاری مہم کے دوران اسلام آباد میں اس سے کہیں زیادہ درخت لگائے جائیں گے۔

پیپر میلبری کے درختوں کو مرحلہ وار ہٹانا ایک درست اور ذمہ دارانہ فیصلہ ہے، کیونکہ اسلام آباد میں پولن الرجی ایک سنگین عوامی صحت کا مسئلہ بن چکی ہے اور شہریوں، بالخصوص بزرگوں، کی صحت کو ترجیح دینا ناگزیر ہے۔
