It’s worth noting that Dr. Soon-Shiong is the founder, executive chairman, and global chief scientific/medical officer of ImmunityBio (market cap ~$11B), which develops ANKTIVA—an IL-15 superagonist that proliferates NK cells and effector/memory T cells without stimulating immunosuppressive regulatory T cells (Tregs). He and affiliates beneficially own roughly 65% of the company, and his total cash compensation has been in the ~$1M+ range annually (plus substantial equity award). His statement should be taken into context.
@billackman I’m taking the other side here. With all the snake oil salesmen and fraudsters out there with their own crazy agendas, the most important thing in scientific literature (once produced) is being able to distinguish high quality data from the large majority of studies that don’t contribute anything to the scientific or medical community. And the journals make mistakes sometimes and eventually have to retract a study (Like the recent KETO-CTA publication that evaluated @CleerlyHealth’s plaque analysis, which was retracted in March 2026 after the authors uncovered that the CTA images had not been analyzed on a blinded basis—raising significant concerns about the reliability of the data). Physicians who treat you rely on this filter, as does the @FDA (even if they don’t explicitly say it) and investors such as yourself when considering investing in the Biopharma industry. A high quality filter unfortunately has costs associated with it as do most things in life. And they are not significant. If access is your concern, people should just not buy their @Starbucks latte that day and just pay a few bucks for the article. The actual problem is speed. It takes 3 to 9 months to get something published in a journal. I applaud your overall efforts on this platform, but on this topic, your concern should be how long it takes to get ground breaking research in the hands of the doctors that treat you than the general public.
Thank you for sharing. For full context, JPM’s $NKTR rating history:
6/2/25 — Underweight. Stock $11.25 (split-adj.). PT (N/A)
10/17/25 — Underweight. Stock $55.97. Dec-26 PT $30.
4/20/26 — 52-week intraday high $109.
8/21/26 — Neutral. Dec-27 PT $65.
Last: $72.52.
Useful to read the new $65 PT against that path, not in isolation.
Why are we still spending trillions treating diseases at the end of life and almost NOTHING preventing them in the early stages or in the middle? Prevention has always been cheaper, more effective than late intervention.
@unusual_whales@unusual_whales it looks like you omitted from DFO’s top holdings his #1 position and the most profitable on this list (both by a mile) $NTRA at just under $1 billion value
@BillAckman It seems that you, like Fauci, were part of spreading misinformation in the name of making a profit. That being said, it seems like you have learned lessons and are a changed man.
@drjohnm So what's your approach to prevent the >25–50% of fatal heart attacks occur in people who had no previous diagnosis of heart disease or symptoms? Is there nothing we could have done? What about the arsenal of meds and preventive approaches available to us? @drjohnm@DrOz@altcap
@altcap@DrOz@altcap@droz CAC misses soft plaque, which is the real culprit. Recent data shows >50% presenting with chest pain have a CAC=0 and many of them have been shown to have meaningful soft plaque. CAC test is blind to this and new technologies exist that see the soft plaque.
@KobeissiLetter People on X are saying that $BTC is crashing bc of (1) rotation into AI stocks, (2) need for liquidity to invest in SpaceX, and (3) geopolitical tensions/risk-off sentiment....but maybe the real reason is that Q-Day is coming faster than people think. #Qday $IONQ $QNT
@wealthMAinsider I’m not sure your numbers are completely accurate, but I’ll entertain you. What happened to the 40k new doctors entering the system each year? Stop spreading nonsense.
@BrandonLuuMD@RobertKennedyJr and @US_FDA don't you think tattoo inks need to be FDA regulated before they are introduced to the market? I'm pretty certain that its the only widely used permanent implant into the human body that is not regulated. What do you think @BrandonluuMD?
