The Ministry of Health has today passed out 304 Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) at the Bukedea District Headquarters, trained from 2 town councils and 14 sub-counties that make up Bukedea District.
Addressing the graduates, Hon. @DrAyumeCharles , Minister of State for Primary Health Care, urged the CHEWs to work collaboratively with Village Health Teams (VHTs), reminding them: “Don’t be like Senior Two students who bully Senior One students. Complement your colleagues, the VHTs. For peculiar concerns, always consult.”
Bukedea County MP Hon. Okwere repeatedly echoed the message “Kisanja No Sleep, Kisanja No Corruption,” while highlighting snake bites among the health concerns affecting communities in the area and calling for timely medical attention.
