इजराइल और हिजबुल्लाह के बीच चल रही जंग को कवर कर रहीं, लेबनान की पत्रकार अमाल खलील की इजराइली हवाई हमले में मौत हो गई. रिपोर्टिंग के दौरान जिस कार में वो अपने सहयोगी के साथ जा रहीं थीं, उसके पास एक हवाई हमला हुआ. उसके बाद वो एक घर में जाकर छिपीं, वहां दूसरा इजराइली हमला हुआ. कुछ लोगों ने उनको बचाने की कोशिश की तो उन पर भी हमला हुआ.

पिछले 20 साल से लेबनान के अल-अखबार में काम रहीं, अमाल मार्च की शुरुआत से ही इस जंग को कवर कर रहीं थीं. कुछ समय से उनको इजराइली नंबरों से लगातार जान से धमकी मिल रही थी. उधर, इजराइल की सेना बोली कि वो पत्रकारों को निशाना नहीं बनाती. ये झूठ है. इस साल अब तक, लेबनान में, नौ पत्रकार मारे गए हैं.

लेबनान सरकार ने अमाल की हत्या की निंदा की और आरोप लगाया कि इजराइली सेना उनका पीछा करते हुए उस घर तक पहुँची जहाँ उन्होंने शरण ली हुई थीं.

वहीं, UN के जांचकर्ताओं ने कहा कि अमाल को जान-बूझकर निशाना बनाया गया. उन्होंने कहा इसका मकसद लेबनान और गाजा में इजराइल की सैन्य गतिविधियों पर रिपोर्टिंग को रोकना है.

Godi Media Anchor @anjanaomkashyap says Nida Khan is the main Mastermind and was a HR Manager. But Nida Khan was an employee and not HR Manager. HR manager was Ashwini Chainani, the HR head and operations manager of the company who was arrested recently.
