It makes me very uncomfortable when men speak about women like this. Haley Stevens is a successful legislator who is clearly intelligent. El-Sayed's comments are objectively misogynistic. The demeaning & aggressive tone makes them worse.
Reality check: in every Senate battleground this cycle except for Maine the majority of the electorate thinks the Democratic Party is too extreme.
In none of the battlegrounds does a majority think the Republican Party is too extreme.
Lot of projection here, but my strategy was to have your God/Emperor Bernie Sanders tell Platner to take a hike back in October when we first learned he was damaged goods and get Troy Jackson in the race since he obviously couldn’t win the gubernatorial primary, but it was more important to you to beat Chuck Schumer than it was to beat Susan Collins and you feel for the first chud who said “Fuck Israel”. https://t.co/c6E5nlmGs8
Right now, Dems have a math problem in taking back the Senate.
They need a net pickup of 4 seats & lead in 1 GOP held seat (NC). Rest are ties or GOP ahead.
Problem is the fundamentals.... Median of key 6 states: GOP with +6 on generic ballot. 53% say Dem party too far left.
Here is what bothers me. If Platner loses in Maine, the left will not ever accept that he was a mistake. They will blame everyone but themselves and their candidate.
Here we go: Collins officially leads in a high-quality poll of the Maine Senate race.
Platner is under-running the Democratic gubernatorial nominee, Hannah Pingree, by 14 points here. She has an 11 point lead.
Hasan Piker says he thinks that Scott Wiener should’ve known he would be screamed out of a woke space like the trans rights rally, not noting that Wiener has attended it for 22 years without incident and that he is a leading advocate of the trans cause.
