Separation/divorce can be such a lonely and isolating process, and I have felt very adrift lately. But so many people reached out to check on me last week on Friday to send me love and comfort, or to offer words of courage/advice, that I ended the day with a sense of community.

Today is our anniversary. Ten years ago, we had our first date. Five years ago, we got married.

One week ago, we separated.

I have a lot of feelings today, mostly of the sad variety, but I’m going to try and fill the hours with things that bring me joy.
