Thanks to the University of Kentucky, Department of Chemistry, Dr. Manjiri Patwardhan (enjoyed all my time working with you!), @InFellows and, Dr. @cmrisko for all the guidance Always loved teaching and grateful for this recognition.
An old #ChemEd#Chemistry summary of non-covalent interactions. This was aimed at UG chemists not experts. It is a foundation. It avoids the intricacies of this topic (I♥️Schreiner's work on dispersion forces & avoided discussing inductive effect of alkyl grps vs hyperconjugation
Last week, The Graduate School honored our amazing Lyman T. Johnson Fellowship recipients! We celebrated the 75th anniversary of of Lyman T. Johnson's successful lawsuit against the University of Kentucky, resulting in him becoming the first African American student at UK.
Did you know that an artificial neural network is designed to mimic the brain?
Inspired by biological neurons in the brain, artificial neural networks are large collections of “neurons”, or nodes, connected by “synapses”, or weighted couplings, which are trained to perform certain tasks. An artificial neural network processes information using its entire network structure. The inspiration initially came from the desire to understand how the brain works.

Please repost!! Post-doc available in my group at Oxford. Looking for synthetic organic chemist, polymer chemist or someone with materials characterisation in organic photocatalysis or organic solar cells. Available immediately. https://t.co/tdZiaShPWA
I am hiring a PhD student in AI for structure prediction and design. The position is fully funded for 5 years (salary, health insurance, benefits) and will take place at Stockholm University/SciLifeLab. https://t.co/h2diIY8wA1
If you are headed to @Materials_MRS#S24MRS, check out the @riskolab presentations that will take place throughout the week! We look forward to seeing everyone there and talking exciting science!
It was a privilege to present my research in the @riskolab to a great audience at the the 2023 Food, Energy and Water Symposium (FEWS). Special thanks to Dr. @cmrisko for his mentorship and guidance.
@InFellows@UKCAER
This is a really interesting study on polymer chain conformations, viscosity, and properties from an excellent collaboration. Special congrats to @k_fagbohungbe and Connor Callaway of @riskolab for their efforts!
Direct active learning molecular dynamics to large structures with up to 1M atoms using M3GNet & a novel substructure sampler.
🎉 Thanks to our AI4Science team & @NArtrith!
