I understand.

1. Nov 2022 - Only sibling/little brother dies by suicide.
2. 2023 - Self-destructive behavior begins
3. Punishing myself by drinking, enter an on-and-off abusive relationship. Get engaged.
4. Jan 2024 - Finally end the relationship with physically, emotionally and financially abusive ex-fiancé. Text: “Do not step foot on my property.”
5. Three hours later she breaks into my house and assaults me. Tries to gouge my eye out. She goes to jail.
6. In retaliation she goes to the courthouse, speaks with a magistrate and gets an arrest warrant sworn out on me. Lies. Perjury. No evidence.
7. I am arrested and go to jail.
8. Wait months for charges to be dismissed. Reputation in professional network burned.
9. Today: rebuilt stronger, wiser, resilient and happier than I’ve ever been.

@Sunnyisback01 @myprasanna I’m in the US. Arrest warrant granted by a female magistrate without any actual evidence, just my accuser signing an affidavit under the penalty of perjury. Luckily I have security cameras to prove the claims were false, but it is a world of “guilty until proven innocent.”
