@ColSimonChapman@RoyalMarines @MajGenHolmes A year ago I entrusted my son to CTCRM and the Royal Marines family. Injuries and setbacks slowed his progress but today he got his green lid. I am proud beyond words as he has shown commitment and resilience to achieve his dream. Well done son!

This smiling 24-year-old young Chinese woman is Cheng Benhua. The grinning troops behind her are some of her Japanese captors. She is one of the bravest women you have probably never heard of. This image was taken in 1938 moments before she was bayoneted to death.

Big shout out to those members of our armed forces currently having to forgo Christmas with their families to cover for strikers. The fact they're doing it better than the people they're standing in for speaks volumes, about both sides.
Maybe we should be giving our forces 19%
Passed Bernard Manning's grave today and stopped to pay respects 🙏
Bernard actually guarded Nazi war criminals in Spandau Prison, the most notorious being Rudolph Hess
Rest in Peace Bernard 🙏
“Thank goodness for the British Army. Just passed through LHR terminal 4, much quicker than usual - all desks open staffed by army”
Well done to The Army!

Remembering the eight extremely brave, fearless & selfless @RNLI lifeboatmen, all sons of Mousehole, who made the ultimate sacrifice on 19 December 1981. Their courage, dedication, determination, valour & heroism serves as a beacon to us all 💙 #ServiceNotSelf
Hi folks, I’m afraid it’s time for me to say goodbye. Not just leaving Twitter, but the whole show. I’ve been battling cancer last 2 years, but now only have a few days left now. Thank you wonderful people, I leave this crazy world with much love in my heart ❤️
The Falklands War 255 British personnel lost their lives defending the Falklands, 86 Royal Navy, 124 Army, 27 Royal Marines, six Merchant Navy, four Royal Fleet Auxiliary and 8 Hong Kong sailors. #Falklands#Argentina#LestWeForget
@JustStop_Oil Counter productive action as you just create a bigger carbon footprint as people have to repair the damage which will involve oil based equipment, parts and the use of diesel vans.
@RichardBurgon Chatting shite Richard and you know it. Voter fraud undermines democracy and this measure will counter it. If you want to vote bring your ID what’s the problem 🤔
It is with a heavy heart we confirm the deaths of Constable Matthew Arnold and Constable Rachel McCrow.
Their lives were cut tragically short in the line of duty at Wieambilla yesterday.
With Honour They Served.
@09EA63 If you think the MK without power steering is effort, then you never drove these. AEC Militant MK1 with HIAB crane. Even with over inflated front tyres fuly loaded you had to stand to turn a corner! Off road 6x6 and loads of torque got you most places 👍🏻
A great shot of the British bomber, the Short Stirling.
Its size is enhanced by the diminutive female Air Transport Auxiliary pilot, who had just delivered it. Whilst these brave women flew many military aircraft solo, the Stirling required the assistance of a flight engineer.
