@arvidkahl I'm also excited about real time visual problem solving. Imagine you are in a meeting spitballing ideas and the agent is screen sharing and using the conversation as a continuous prompt to refines visual artifacts in real time that share the vision and highlight issues.
@thdxr I try to avoid this by clearly distinguishing the places in my workflow where I want judgement vs determinism because that should never change.
If I have to plug a judgement gap myself then I accept it may soon be redundant.
@JamesPGoddard90@grok please debunk this post shamelessly praying on people's fears by omitting context. Explain what a hospital order is and the full extent of the judges sentencing.
When I want convenience I ask Gemini (hardware button on Pixel).
When I want the truth I ask Grok.
When I want to get work done I ask Claude.
I don't talk to ChatGPT because I don't like OpenAI π
People choose products emotionally rather than rationally and I'm no different.
@thorstenball How do you know it didn't make a mistake if you don't have any unit tests? Are you prepared to take it on faith that from now until forever all models work flawlessly all of the time?
Also unit tests are for other things like regression and documentation too.
@dhh I had a gaming PC I bought as a quasi midlife crisis knowing I had no time to play it with two young kids. It had already become my AI shed on Windows via WSL and Termius on my phone but I find myself at the desk more now that I've switched to Omarchy because it's just so nice.
@SouthernOrbs I think you're overestimating your ability to Intuit the height of an object in the sky. You can't tell with your eyes alone whether it's a small object close or a large object far away.
@eiranoirx I don't know but please don't do that. You won't exist for eternity anyway. This is just a chance to exist for a tiny little bit so may as well take it.
@ShabanaSt I've found it's also really important to mimic the intonation and 'melody' of the phrase as well especially if you're mitigating it to swap out a word keeping everything else the same helps.
@AssistiveWare Yeah I found traditional AAC not suited for my son so we developed our own app for him so we could more easily add scripts, mitigate them, and allow him to explore and use his own scripts independently.
I found this so much more relaxing than standing at my desk reading through yet another wall of text. It felt like it was giving both my body and brain a rest. Maybe audio uses a different part of the brain / energy pool.
Found a really nice way to review PRs whilst lying down and stretching to relieve shoulder tension.
1. Add .patch to the end of the PR URL, this gives you a plain text version.
2. Download it and put it in a Claude chat session.
3. Talk through the review in conversation mode.
