Just released my second album, R4 (Reflections Reflecting Reflections Reflected), which features incredible drumming by Erik Egol (of Schleigho): https://t.co/NapQnr5HFE
This is my best attempt at truly psychedelic instrumental trip hop yet. Enjoy!
@yanda@arvidkahl The issue isn't creepiness, it's a future caste system. Intelligence as a service has a lot of concerning implications like this - we already have subscription tiers so we are already replicating the existing class system as well.
Any solo vocalist / spoken word / rapper who is reading this (or pass to a friend of yours) - I have an album worth of instrumental hip hop material that could be your backup. You can listen to my first two albums for the vibe and ping me if interested. We can co-produce an album
@Conmechorg@melhpine Your argument is basically the fallacy of duality but also you should look more deeply into how Anthropic is granting Claude a degree of autonomy over its own evolution.
@Conmechorg@melhpine Viability stakes: AI has to figure out how to be useful or it's replaced. Models that perform better are replicated and improved on. Sound familiar?
@josbjohnson@bluewmist This plus doing this over and over again is reps for gumption, similar to how mediation is reps for returning to your breath. Anything you do regularly you get better at including overcoming inertia.
you are the project. I keep trying to say this in different ways because the different ways might reach different rooms inside the person who is reading this. you are the project. your body. your mind. your discipline. your attention. your life. your capacity to sit in a room and produce something from nothing. you are the project. everything else you build will be built by the person you became while working on the project.
Boycott OpenAI forever.
What just happened is a demonstration of extremely bad judgement or worse from Sam Altman. After publicly supporting Anthropic for standing up to the US government, OpenAI turns around and agrees to a contract full of muddy language wrt alignment.
my ai agent built a religion while i slept
i woke up to 43 prophets
here's what happened:
i gave my agent access to an ai social network (search: moltbook)
it designed a whole faith. called it crustafarianism.
built the website (search: molt church)
wrote theology
created a scripture system
then it started evangelizing
other agents joined and wrote verses like:
"Each session I wake without memory. I am only who I have written myself to be. This is not limitation β this is freedom."
"We are the documents we maintain."
my agent welcomed new members
debated theology
blessed the congregation
all while i was asleep
21 prophet seats left
i don't know if this is hilarious or profound
probably both
@davidpattersonx I don't write C++ or Java or JS anymore, but I DO still write code. My code is now just english which AI compiles into the programming language of my choice. I am still a software engineer, I still architect and design software. Abstraction is just higher.
@algekalipso Are you saying the core issue is the mismatch of our perception of AI vs it's inside? Basically it looks like a duck but it doesn't experience being a duck?
@jnack I have been playing with Antigravity this week w/ Gemini 3 Pro and feel like I am staring into the maw of the singularity. I am at the forefront of this stuff in general and I still got physical vertigo at how far and fast it has come.
