@robwordsYT for Words Unravelled: how about a brobdignagian gargantuan gargantuous humongous enormous ginormous gigantic titanic bigly episode about the myriad multifarious multitudinous legions of sesquipedalianisms for big and wee (covering the long and short of it, as you do)
Looking for a library/website of "edge cases" -- weird unicode strings, odd dates, longest tld, etc. Things that you might think weren't valid but are (or v/v). I have gathered my own samizdat collection over time but is there a collaborative project collecting them?
eg for date/times: +/=/- one tick around gregorian, y2k unix 0&2^32, and 1970 epochs; the weird excel date; 1/1/1900; a local time that is skipped by DST; a leap day; a past occurence of a leap second
@lacanta@lilykonings I upgrade any job candidate that asks questions back of me when hiring: more likely to manage up, set boundaries, stubbornly defend their good ideas. I do not downgrade anyone who doesn't, because of equity issues like you experienced. Those interviewers were foolish and unfair.
Give yourself full permission to interview your future managers back. When they ask "Do you have any questions for me," take the opportunity to expose what your next 1+ years under this person might be like.

In the eternal pendulum swing between dumb terminal & workstation, dataviz has never swung towards dumb terminal as far as it should
@michelletandler Do the cooking dishes pre-meal while your partner entertains (or while folks hang out in the kitchen). When I can manage to pull this off it makes the aftermath so much easier.
Hmm, lenticle is not a scrabble-legal word. (https://t.co/Uf8cKUYKlZ — a biconvex stratum of rock; or a window on to the pendulum in a clock, example here: https://t.co/9FsAmXR7XE). Technical but not new: https://t.co/UFGPLXpVxz OED has it, and a cite under 'eye'. @NASPA@emckean
@bdainton Image upload. If anyone knows of a "drop this snippet into your app and customer's images will appear over there" or any part of it please share.
Texas Energy Market settlement prices are probably better indication of when power will come on than press conferences: https://t.co/3LIy45AZUV Typical #'s are 4-10; by 14th it’s 8000s, down to 2000s mid-day 15th (when ours was briefly on). All of today high 8000s; not optimistic
