@KuhnboBio@nextstrain Nothing extensive, but we had students look at SARS-CoV-2 on @nextstrain, do a reading, and watched a video (@BIOINTERACTIVE maybe?) leading into a socratic seminar in 2022.
@archizackture@smartereveryday I agree. You can hear the species in this video - subway sound starting at 0:20 which is made by Magicicada septendecim (or its 13 year counterpart M. tredecim). At 0:43 you can hear M. cassini (or M. tredecassini) which is the higher pitch.

@brewerbiology@MarcusLuther6 My school system is ending 1:1 after this year. Students will need to turn in their school issued Chromebooks. My sci dept has really moved away from using tech... I would be curious to see data about the trends
