Iryna Zarutska, Logan Federico, Stephanie Minter – all lives lost to violent criminals who should have never been on our streets. Enough.
The JAIL Act holds radical, soft-on-crime judges accountable and delivers justice for victims and their loved ones. Let’s get it done.
Dear #mtnews Can we stop pretending @SethBodnar is an Independent now? He was recruited @SenSchumer, Dem consults are running his campaign, he's using Act Blue and @jontester is helping him raise cash in DC. End the charade. #mtpol
Conservative candidates scored key victories across Montana last week, including every legislative candidate endorsed by the Missoula GOP.
Now we’re preparing to host Republicans from across the state at the Montana Republican @MTGOP Platform Convention this weekend in Missoula.

"Taxpayers should demand answers from local governments who fail to provide the full financial transparency which state law demands."
@Cotton_MT revealed some troubling data in this week’s newsletter, showing that Gallatin and Missoula counties were multiple years delinquent in reporting their annual financial numbers to the state. Each county paid thousands of dollars in fines to the state as a result, which will ultimately be paid by the county taxpayers, as Kendall points out 💰

@tammifisher It just keeps getting worse. Now i've confirmed that Gallatin Co has paid at least $14,565 in fines for delinquent reporting. Taxpayers on the hook for the dysfunction!

1.) If you knew a Republican state legislator created chaos and division within the Republican Party, refused to work with Republicans, and focused more on grandstanding and self-promotion than delivering conservative results for Montana families, would it change how you vote?
2.) If you knew a Republican state legislator accepted support from progressive billionaires, longtime Democrat donors, and outside, dark-money political interests trying to influence Montana Republican primaries, would it change how you vote?
If your answer to those questions is YES, then the solution is simple: support the candidates who have publicly and consistently committed to upholding the principles and priorities of Republican voters and delivering conservative results for Montana families:
@Cotton_MT Holy cow. Maybe stop the social engineering and concentrate on good governance? All three county commissioners should be shown the door. This is the minimum requirement--accountability for every single tax dollar collected.
Gallatin Co is also multiple years delinquent in reporting their annual financial reports to the DOA-LGSB.
The penalty for being delinquent can include "stopping payment of any state financial assistance" to the county.
I have an inquiry in to DOA about any enforcement actions taken wrt Gallatin's delinquent reporting.
Will report back when I get an answer.

Per the article: "the [Montana Democratic] party is better positioned backing select moderate Republicans or independent candidates who can advance at least some of the agenda."
"Thatʼs what Fireweed Campaigns, a self-described politically independent Helena-based firm with only Republican clients, pitched to a room of about a dozen ʻDemocrat-adjacentʼ strategists mixed with at least one state representative during a quiet strategy meeting in Anaconda in the summer of 2025."
"Fireweed Campaigns was founded by Lauren Caldwell, a political consultant and former director for the Montana Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee in 2024."
