PTM Canada Supports ACESC Earthquake Relief Campaign for Kunar and Nangarhar Afghanistan

PTM Canada has expressed full support for the Afghan Cultural and Educational Society of Calgary (ACESC) in their ongoing donation campaign to help the victims of the recent devastating earthquake in Kunar and Nangarhar, Afghanistan.

In a video message, PTM Canada’s Deputy Coordinator, @zaman_tarakai, urged all Afghans and Canadians to join hands in this humanitarian effort. He emphasized that in times of tragedy, unity and compassion are the strongest tools communities can bring forward to support those in need.

PAKISTAN: Authorities have announced the shutdown of mobile internet services in Balochistan province for 6 September (tomorrow) again, citing "law and order situation and existing threat alerts", after the services were shut down for most of August on similar pretexts.

Mobile internet is the only way to access the internet for many people in the province, and blanket shutdowns significantly curtail the right to information, freedom of expression, movement and peaceful assembly.

These are not just two news reports from controlled Pakistani media channels, but rather a reflection of the Pakistani state’s mindset regarding Pashtuns and Punjab.
For Punjabi laborers, the term “martyred” is used, while for the beloved leader Maulana Khanzeb and his companions, who struggled for peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the term “killed” is written.
This is Pakistan, where not only are peace and rights out of reach for Pashtuns, but even after being innocently martyred, they are not afforded a single word of respect.
It is the state itself that is racist, not the oppressed and subjugated nations. The oppressed nations only react in pursuit of their rights.
However, the hypocrites neither see the state’s racist actions nor speak out against them, while the reactions of the oppressed nations in pursuit of their rights are portrayed as “actions” and are always up for discussion. @ManzoorPashteen
