Last night, several plainclothes armed men stormed my residence in Lahore. They brutally assaulted our staff, harassed my daughter-in-law, and forcibly took away my son, Shahrez Khan, in front of his two young daughters.

For over three years, this fascist regime in Pakistan has unleashed a reign of terror, raiding thousands of homes, abducting and harassing countless innocent civilians. Yet, despite their brutality, they have failed to break Imran Khan.

Our children understand that the struggle Imran Khan is leading is far greater than any one of us. He has set a remarkable standard of resilience against tyranny. These cowardly actions only expose the fear and desperation of the oppressors.

We place our trust in Allah alone, seeking His protection and justice.

" In these dark days of unprecedented oppression and tyranny, the massive turnout of the Pakistani nation in response to the August 5th call for protest is not only admirable, it is a powerful sign that a new dawn is beginning to break through the long-standing darkness of injustice that has engulfed our country. The way people took to the streets, despite extreme fascism, to assert their constitutional rights is highly commendable.

I extend special appreciation to the people of Punjab, who broke through the shackles of fear despite raids and arrests. The citizens of Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who participated in the nationwide protests on August 5th in such large numbers, deserve admiration. A nationwide protest of such magnitude, despite immense pressure on the leadership, is a remarkable display of public awareness and awakening.

Never before in Pakistan’s history has any dictatorship, even under martial law, perpetrated such levels of cruelty as are being carried out today by Asim Munir under his ‘Asim Law’. This can only be compared to the era of Yahya Khan, when brutal fascism was unleashed upon Mujibur Rahman's party and the public, crushing democratic will and, ultimately, splitting the country in two, all for the sake of holding on to power. What is happening in the country today painfully echoes the Fall of Dhaka. Then too, democracy was strangled, rule of law eliminated, freedom of media and the right to protest denied, and the law of the jungle imposed. Deliverance from this system of oppression is only possible if the nation stands united.

The next significant milestone in our movement is the 14th of August: the day our forefathers, after immense sacrifices, secured independence from British colonial rule. Yet, the nation continues to be deprived of true freedom. Without the restoration of the Constitution and the rule of law, independence will remain an illusion. On August 14th, the entire nation must once again rise against the fascism gripping our beloved country.

We must liberate ourselves from this mafia. And true liberation is only possible when a nation is willing to make sacrifices. I am enduring the most inhumane conditions in prison for the sake of my people. Even fellow prisoners here acknowledge that no ordinary inmate is subjected to the kind of treatment that I am being subjected to. In their futile attempt to break me, my wife Bushra Bibi is also being held in deplorable conditions. Yet, I remain steadfast in my commitment to the supremacy of the Constitution and the restoration of democracy. Achieving genuine freedom will require collective sacrifice from all of us.

I will never bow down before this ‘Dacoits and Duffers Alliance’, nor will I ever accept ‘Asim Law’. Even if I must spend the rest of my life in prison, I am ready.

Remember: no force in the world can defeat a brave nation. I urge all Pakistanis to cast aside the fear of imprisonment. A special message to the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI): abandon your fear of jail and rise to lead the people, answering the call of democracy.

The military operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is being conducted solely to weaken PTI. A similar operation was launched during the ANP's tenure, and by adopting Musharraf-era failed policies, ANP was eventually wiped out from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I have always maintained that military operations are never a solution, they only breed more terrorism, hatred, and destruction. A new operation must not be conducted in the tribal areas. The problems of that region can only be resolved through dialogue with local leaders and elected representatives. The merciless expulsion of Afghan refugees, merely in anticipation of a reaction from Afghanistan that never came, is deeply regrettable. 1/2

کٹھ پتلی حکومت نے جمہوریت پر کاری ضربیں لگا کر عوام سے بنیادی انسانی حقوق مکمل طور پر چھین لیے ہیں۔ پیکا ترمیمی ایکٹ اسی سلسلے کی ایک کڑی ہے۔ پہلے آزاد میڈیا کا گلا گھونٹا گیا، ارشد شریف کا قتل کیا گیا، صحافیوں کو اغواء کیا گیا انکو تشدد کا نشانہ بنایا گیا اور سوشل میڈیا پر پابندیاں عائد کی گئیں۔ اب فارم 47 اسمبلی نے آزادی اظہارِ رائے پر قدغن کے لیے کالا قانون منظور کر لیا ہے۔ سیاسی اختلافات کو دبانے کے لیے پیکا قوانین میں ترامیم کی گئی ہیں۔ اس کی جتنی مذمت کی جائے اتنی کم ہے۔ آزاد عدلیہ، قانون کی حکمرانی اور آزادی اظہار رائے کے بغیر جمہوریت پنپ نہیں سکتی۔ اس جعلی اسمبلی نے سوائے جمہوریت پر حملے کے قوانین منظور کرنے کے کچھ نہیں کیا پھر چاہے وہ 26ویں آئینی ترمیم کی منظوری ہو یا پیکا ترمیمی ایکٹ۔ 26ویں آئینی ترمیم کا مقصد چیف آف آرمی سٹاف کی ایکسٹینشن تھا اور ان کو یہ خوف تھا کہ عدلیہ آزاد ہوئی تو الیکشن فراڈ سامنے آ جائے گا۔ اپنے ذاتی فوائد کے لیے عدلیہ کی ��ودمختاری کو سلب کر دیا گیا ہے۔

آٹھ فروری کو ملک بھر میں یوم سیاہ منانے کی تیاری کی جائے۔ اس دن عوامی مینڈیٹ چھین کر 1971 کی یاد تازہ کی گئی۔ صوابی میں خیبرپختونخوا اور شمالی پنجاب کے لوگ اکٹھے ہو کر احتجاج کریں۔ دیگر علاقوں کے افراد اپنے اپنے شہروں میں احتجاجی مظاہرے کریں۔ پوری دنیا میں اوورسیز پاکستانی بھی اس دن اپنی آواز بلند کریں۔ اوورسیز پاکستانیوں سے ایک بار پھر مطالبہ کرتا ہوں کہ ترسیلات زر کا بائیکاٹ جاری رکھیں۔ اس حکومت نے سوائے جمہوری اقدار کی پامالی کے کچھ نہیں کیا ان کو ترسیلات زر بھیجنا ان کے ہاتھ مض��وط کرنے کے مترادف ہے جو آپ کی ہی گردن دبوچ رہے ہیں۔

ہم جمہوریت کی بحالی کے لیے پاکستان میں موجود تمام سیاسی جماعتوں سے رابطہ کریں گے۔ اپنی جماعت کو ہدایت کرتا ہوں کہ دیگر جماعتوں سے اس مقصد کے تحت روابط کو تیز کریں تاکہ جلد از جلد عوام کو جمہوریت کی آڑ میں نافذ اس ڈکٹیٹر شپ سے نجات مل سکے۔

مگر یہ سب فیصلے تو عمران خان کے تھے نا؟ میرا، آپ کا، ہمارا لیڈر۔ جس کی نیت اور خلوص پر ہمیں کوئی شک نہیں!
پھرآج کیا ہوا؟ لڑائی طویل ہوگئی ہے؟ نتائج حسب منشاء نہیں؟ چار انڈے گندے نکل آئے؟ تو یہ جو ہزاروں لوگ مہینوں سے ہزیمت، تشدد، نقصان، اذیت برداشت کررہے ہیں ان کا کیا؟ آج آپ کو اس کی تربیت پر بھی شک ہے، اس کے فیصلوں کی حکمت پر بھی شک ہے۔ اس کے ساتھ کھڑے لوگوں پر بھی شک ہے۔ کیوں؟ کیا آپ نہیں جانتے کہ جو لڑائی ہم سب لڑ رہے ہیں وہ اس ملک کی تاریخ میں کسی نے نہیں لڑی؟ کیا آپ کو نہیں معلوم کہ دنیا کی ہر طاقت اس وقت ایک بات پر متفق ہے؛ ما��نس عمران خان!
کیا آپ نہیں جانتے کہ عمران خان کی واپسی کا ایک ہی راستہ ہے؛ یہ ثابت کرنا کہ عمران خان فرد نہیں نظریہ ہے۔ یہ کہ اس کا وجود قید کرکے بھی آپ اس کا دیا شعور نہیں قید کرسکتے؟

In the last few weeks there have been serious and concerning developments regarding my sons’ father, Imran Khan’s treatment in prison. The Pakistan authorities have stopped all visits to him by his family and his lawyers. They have also postponed all court hearings. In addition to cutting off in- person visits, and in defiance of a court order, his weekly calls to his sons, Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, who are British and who live in London, were stopped on 10th September. We have received reports that the authorities have now turned off the lights and electricity in his cell and he is no longer allowed to leave his cell at any time. The jail cook has been sent on leave. He is now completely isolated, in solitary confinement, literally in the dark, with no contact with the outside world. His lawyers are concerned about his safety and well-being.

These actions come in the context of ongoing targeting of Imran’s family, as well as his party (PTI) members and supporters in an attempt to silence them and all political opposition in Pakistan. Imran’s nephew, Hassan Niazi, a civilian, has been detained in military custody since August 2023. More recently, Imran Khan’s sisters, Uzma and Aleema Khan, who have continued to speak out on his behalf, have also been arrested as they made their way peacefully to a demonstration and they are currently being held in jail, despite there being no proper or lawful basis for their imprisonment.

In June this year the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention found that Imran is unlawfully and arbitrarily detained and called for his immediate release.

 As a matter of urgency , we are calling for Imran Khan’s release, and for the release of his sisters and nephew as well as for his sons’ contact with their father to be re-established, so that they may have assurance first-hand that he is well and not being mistreated.
