The number of times the news, the government, an article or someone on social media has made a prediction of the future and been wrong is ridiculous. There’s got to be a way for us to track that data and show the statistics of accuracy for every account, source or individual.

@elonmusk This is assuming if a corporation doesn’t pay taxes, they’ll redistribute those tax savings in the form or higher wages to employees or cheaper prices for customers. Part of today’s inflation is because companies were allowed to raise prices during stimulus money printing.

@jzellis This whole situation is based on a company that has shareholders. If anything your hypothetical situation speaks more to the fact that capital venture, going public or dispersed ownership can change a company’s mission into sole profit no matter the cost. That’s your real crux.

@engineers_feed Landfills. Far in the future everything produced will require strict guidelines in materials used, to ensure some level of either biodegradable properties, and/or be disassembled and sorted to be recycled by AI assisted robotic assembly lines. No more mass dumping of mixed waste.
