Dear Zimbabweans, you’ve had an incredible night shift, and we sincerely thank you for the exemplary work. Now, the Kenyans are taking over the day shift. Let’s keep the momentum going! 🇿🇼🤝🇰🇪🔥
What does it do to the morale of graduating Specialists and Special Duty Cadet Officers to know that the Commander in Chief skipped their commissioning parade because he was busy running politics in Homa Bay?
Sifuna's government will respect military officers better than this.
Ruto has access to all national intelligence. So he knows full well that Uhuru isn't funding Linda Mwananchi (there is really nothing to fund at this stage even).
The bitter attacks on Uhuru must therefore mean that the 4th President has Ruto cornered somewhere else. And it must be somewhere so delicate that escaping is impossible.
I can speculate that it is in the security sector.
Ruto should face whatever Uhuru has on him and stop hiding behind Linda Mwananchi. Don't be a Neymar, who gets kicked on the foot, but falls down hysterically clutching the neck!
People are launching parties and renaming others, but everyone is asking "na wapi ya Sifuna?"
The el nino is coming!
The Registrar of Political Parties, his office and their masters, are still stuck in 1981, when Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and George Anyona tried to register a new political party. These fools still think you can save a regime by blocking the registration of popular movements.
But Kenya's multiparty history shows that the party leader is the magnet that sustains it. Ford Kenya practically died with Jaramogi (the current one is smaller than a market-day basket at Lwakhakha market, fit only for Wetangula's personal shopping). Ford Asili died with Matiba. DP was dead the moment Kibaki abandoned it.
Similarly, Raila moved parties, yet the next one he moved to became the national focus. When the LDP faction of NARC lamented in 2003 that Raila had been made Minister for Roads instead of the agreed Prime Minister, John Michuki cheekily reminded them that you could make Raila the Minister for Shoes, and that would become the most visible ministry in the land.
Everyone who joined ODM in the last 20 years was joining Raila, not the party. It could have been called Mbuta Development Party or Sufuria Wearers Movement (SWARM) and it have attracted similar large numbers. It is the leader, his ideals and the hope he represents for the masses, that makes up a political party. Those who join the party actually follow him, not the name of the party.
The Registrar doesn't know it, but if Sifuna and his team attempted to register a name to rhyme with the name of the movement he created in just a few months, that desire does not negate the overall philosophy where Sifuna's name and his ideals are the magnet of the new movement. If what he launches next week is called Nimechoka Party of Kenya, his followers will adjust their tongues from "Linda Mwananchi" and start chanting "Nimechokaaaa, Wantam!" The name of a party here is not bigger than the profile of its leader, thank you very much!
Oh, and @paulinenjoroge and @abbiezuena are absolutely right: the presidential negotiating table can only have presidential candidates, so that you avoid the spectacle of one-legged parties and their hapless owners coming to extract non-existent concessions. All concessions made will be presidential, and the evolution of multiparty democracy must include our refusal to entertain parties with three followers and egos the size of Kimwarer Dam from walking in and demanding a percentage of government, then delivering three and a half votes.
That season passed.
"Raila Odinga won the 2022 elections, but we know what happened. We will not allow it to happen in 2027".
President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Now you know why Ruto is obsessed with Uhuru. The latter knows "where the bodies are buried". Uhuru knows where the game was fixed and will "sponyo" the winning team.
Give Ruto a bucket for tears!
I see government bloggers are digging up old tweets by Sifuna
I think that's a good idea
We can finally start digging up old crimes by Ruto, let me start with the obvious
Burning of innocent children inside a church in kiambaa
@Disembe Do you have another brain or just this one that you are typing with, listen guys choose a narrative and stick to it.Sit down with the wheelbarrow disabled movement and agree on what to spin when you guys start tweeting, hata sisi tumechoka kufuata slur campaign messaging.
@Disembe@RobertAlai Nonsense People have said worse things about Gachagua but still, they are dining together,Permanent interests always inform political decisions, and not the opnion of paid bloggers.
Just a friendly warning to the Kalonzo Musyoka and Fred Matiangi camp. If Sifuna starts polling better than Ruto, he cannot be stopped. He will be the presidential candidate. For example, if at some point, he is at 30% and Ruto ako 24%, it just means Sifuna is the next president.
I remember someone mentioned on an interview how after Gachagua impeachment that Raila told him how everyone should be careful about what is happening at Wamunyoro. The meetings under the trees, that that is how ideas are born and revolutions start. Came to pass✅.
