@MannyG1107@NM_Transit_ Such an hourly superfast train (can even be a MEMU - not necessarily VB or Shatabdi) can have stops in Stations in PCMC area (like Chinchwad, Akurdi, Pimpri even Dehu Road - and skip intermediate Stations like Lonavala, khandala, Karjat and all).
Respected @ncbn garu. I again suggest a bullet train (High Speed Rail) corridor traversing the entire Coastal Andhra from Chennai to Visakhapatnam via Amaravathi (with a future extension to Hyderabad from Eluru). I urge you to persuade the Union govt to consider this as well 🙏

Also it would be great for Pune-Mumbai HSR to stop at Navi Mumbai International Airport & then journey to BKC in its own underground, undersea tunnel instead of joining Mumbai-Ahmedabad line at Thane HSR station @MoCA_GoI@RamMNK @Amey_Kulkarni05 @Geogeek0 @haldilal@marinebharat
@profsixfeet @aparanjape There is high traffic on Mumbai Ahmedabad route as well and the terrain is much easier compared to the Ghat section. Now, it will be more profitable to construct the Pune HSR as we will also have a successful proof of concept already.
I few months ago I shared an idea to club an RRTS project with an HSR route to save costs. I am sharing that thread in comments. Anyone interested, do check it out.

@bhaumikgowande Yes, but can we pair this with denser Public transport and FASTag enabled congestion tax. There will always be a physical limit to how much can we broaden the existing road, and I would rather take these huge Footpaths anyday over an additional Lane for vehicles.
