Consistent endurance exercise may be one of the most powerful ways to slow down biological aging.
Six months of cycling (about 4.5 hours/week) reduced GrimAge by 7 months relative to the expected trajectory of normal aging. GrimAge is an epigenetic clock tied to mortality risk.
Participants also increased VO₂ max by ~20%, and the reduction in GrimAge tracked with those gains in cardiorespiratory fitness, but not with changes in body composition. The anti-aging signal seemed to come more from becoming fitter, not just leaner.
To @prof_horvath, this suggests biological aging is, at least to some extent, modifiable.
We discuss how exercise may slow biological aging in the latest episode of the podcast. Out now.

humans were never meant to be this busy and move this fast and it's driving us all insane
we were meant to live slower lives. to rest a lot. to grow our own food. to occasionally go out for a big hunt. to rise and sleep with the sun.
we were never meant to grind all day and doomscroll at night.
You might not need a 6 pack to be healthy, but you definitely don't want to look pregnant.
Viscreal fat in the abdomen is linked to cancer, diabetes, and cognitive decline.
Do everything you can to lose the visible gut; your life depends on it.

Nothing, for me personally, has matched it. An absolute life changer.
3. Sauna
A dry sauna, 15 minutes, 4-7x a week, cuts death from heart attack and stroke by over 50%. No pill matches that. No supplement has those benefits.
I've reviewed over 6,000 MRIs. The fat that's killing you isn't the fat you can pinch. It's wrapped around your heart and threaded through your muscle.
And almost nothing you've been told to do touches it.
Here's what actually works:
My CPA charges $800/hour.
He recently asked me, “If you die tomorrow, can your family even log into your bank account?”
I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Then he showed me these 4 things that rich people always have ready:
Interested in hundreds of dollars of free peptides?
Go to bed on time.
It doses you with natural growth hormone. No injection.
GH great for recovery, muscle synthesis, cellular repair.
Dose is gated to first night’s sleep window.
You miss the dose if you miss the window.
I lost 65 pounds 15 years ago. Here's 5 key lessons I learned:
1) There's a few spots to get aggressive with fat loss. I'd say early on if you're super driven and determined you can push things the first 90 days. The second time is when you wake up one day and realize your lifestyle has completely changed. It's normal now for you to be healthy. Then you can turn up the dial on things without the risk of going backwards.
2) Getting up at 4AM to do an hour of fasted cardio is for the bodybuilders. If I could go back I would have just sprinkled in walking more throughout my day. Way less stressful and much easier to maintain.
3) The real stuff that matters with food is calories and protein. Carbs and fats do matter, but not as much as people think.
4) I tried losing weight on my own for years. And I just got fatter. I hired a coach who taught me how to not only get in shape, but stay in shape too. Saved me so much time and headache. Coaching is a huge cheat code.
5) I thought I had to eat in the morning to "jumpstart" my metabolism. Totally wrong. Skipping breakfast was a huge shift that resulted in me staying lean for the past 15 years. Its not the only factor, but it really helped me maintain consistency with my natural appetite swings.
There's more but these were top of mind today.
