New Mexico is home to 23 sovereign tribal nations, including 19 Pueblos with settlements dating back over 1,000 years. The state also includes portions of the Navajo Nation, the Jicarilla Apache and Mescalero Apache nations. These communities maintain their own governments, languages, and cultural traditions, contributing significantly to New Mexico's identity through their art, agriculture, and ceremonial practices that have been preserved for centuries.

Heartbroken. Terribly saddened to hear of the passing of Graham Greene at only 73.
From Wolf Lake to Longmire, we had a beautiful friendship.
An Actor’s Actor. One of the wittiest, wiliest, warmest people I’ve ever known. Iconic and Legendary. RIP, My Brother.
The Environmental Improvement Board votes 4-1 to uphold the Clean Cars standards, ensuring that NM can deliver these transformational public health and cost-saving benefits to New Mexicans! #NMCleanAir#NMCleanCars#NMPol
Thank you to @koat7news for the opportunity to share more about Paid Family and Medical Leave. The policy will put money into the pockets of hardworking New Mexicans and will help New Mexico's small businesses be better able to recruit and retain workers. #nmleg
Today would be a great day to start reforming Nm’s Oil & Gas Act.
It hasn’t been revised since 1935 🙃
HB133 isn’t perfect so hopefully we’ll see some amendments, but 88 years is just a little too long to go w/o doing ANYTHING, even in the land of mañana 😏

@NMLegislature (2/2) Stay tuned to @nativevoters for more info on what's up during the 2024 Legislative Session, including updates on modernization, climate, Tribal sovereignty, and more.
#NMLeg
(1/2) The @NMLegislature has wrapped up the first week of its 30-day session, with a whole lot on the line.
Hear about the stakes in Santa Fe to finally, finally modernize the the country's only unpaid legislature.

The @EmnrdNM is testifying today at @nmleg. It’s about their budget.
Infamous mouth-runner Sen. Sharer IMMEDIATELY jumped in asking an increasingly inane and dishonest series of questions about a proposed piece of legislation (like, not even a real thing yet). 😵💫😮💨🫠#nmpol
The real cost to the state from oil and gas is our kids health, the quality of our water, the cost of cleanup. Claiming that the oil and gas industry can't afford to properly insure against its damages is frankly irresponsible.
Senator Sharer wrongly claims that utility bills are going up. In fact the public regulation commission just authorized an 8% reduction in PNM bills thanks to the closure of expensive polluting coal and its replacement with all renewables and battery storage. #nmleg
