H&S tried convincing me 5 times to stay invested before cancelling it.
Making it easy to enter but difficult to exit may help short-term metrics, but destroys long-term trust.
Users must feel in control of their money. This mindset says a lot about how a business is run.
Paytm is a great example of how not thinking from the user’s lens can slowly break a business.
My mother started a Daily Gold Savings SIP. When I tried cancelling it, there was no option only “pause for 14 days.”
I still recall when I first used Dall-e in 2022 and was so excitingly telling people that its not copy pasting image, it’s creating on its own.
Great to see, world has come this far in 4 years
More than 5 million people have opened a slice savings account in the past year. All of them earn 100% of the repo rate daily, 5.25% p.a. right now
Today, we’re rolling out slice atom, our newest addition to slice savings account, because savings is much more than expenses 😸
Your savings hold much more than spending money. It's your emergency buffer, your next trip, your goals, your spare change. We are unbundling it for India, so you have full control and clarity over your money
You split your one balance into separate atoms, one for each thing you care about. The money in an atom keeps earning the same 5.25% as the rest of your account. You can take it back the moment you need it, no penalty, and it lands in your main balance within seconds, ready for UPI transactions or a transfer
An atom can fill itself, too. Set it to take in a fixed amount every day, week or month, or to round your spending up to the nearest ₹10 and quietly set the difference aside
Millions of people trust slice with their savings now. People work hard for that money. So the least we can do is keep paying close attention to what they actually need. atom meets one of those needs!
@Nithin0dha This doesn’t necessarily mean cleaner systems in India. Likely, the market ecosystem is still less sophisticated. In mature markets eg. US, information networks are deeper & monetized faster. India probably has it too, just at a smaller scale, making signals less visible today.
If AI responds sooner there’s a subtle feeling that answer is not well researched. I wonder if adding a slight delay in response could create more adoption.
Most people think AI progress means models are getting smarter. In reality, most of the gains right now are just making the same intelligence (output) run faster.
AGI will arrive the moment this stops being true.
I think this from mathematics point if view. Axioms lead to theorems; those theorems later become the foundations for proving new ones. Today’s AI can mostly reproduce patterns it has already seen. It struggles to derive genuinely new proofs from first principles.
Eventually this saturates. Humans remain the bottleneck because the tasks, questions, and ideas still originate from us. AI just executes them faster.
AGI begins when that bottleneck disappears when the system can generate the tasks itself.
We add more parameters, more compute, and better infrastructure. The quality ceiling moves slowly, but the main change is speed. Tasks that once took hours now take seconds.
