@LBC Utter hypocrisy from the BBC: which ‘side’ is The BBC chairman on having facilitated a loan for Boris Johnson at the time that he was in the running for the position of Chairman?
@RhonddaBryant Dennis Skinner to John Major. Major at the dispatch h box for first time as PM opens his mouth to utter his first word, and before he can get it out DS shouts ‘Resign!’.
@DeborahMeaden How diminished we are as a nation. There was a time - not that long ago, when it would have been a British leader making such a speech and taking decisive action in a humanitarian cause. Look and listen to our ‘leaders’ today.
@LBC@NickFerrariLBC I think the sentiment behind the concept of ‘3 strikes and your out’ is a good one. I would suggest this guy has had 2 strikes: 1 - the act and then 2 - the posting of it. He’s apologised. We all make mistakes. This one (or two) acts shouldn’t be fatal in career terms.
@LBC@mrjamesob James - you’ve drawn a parallel between opening-up at Christmas (and consequent upsurge In infections) and summer holidays. This doesn’t hold because there was no vaccine at Christmas. That there is now, surely implies that holidays (at least domestic) should be possible.
