@nonewthing@themagic_tophat@ZubiVision True! Semenyo was a huge miss! Especially in this market
I think we used Semenyo funds for Eze last year! Timing matters in these deals
The issue, of course, is that we have stuck to our guns, but we have also missed out on another top level attacker. And there just aren’t many of them around. And it’s hard to see the mythical “reasonable fee superstar attacker” magically appearing
@YankeeGunner@A_Jaywalker@clivepafc Barcola is def a risk! To me he is what Martinelli would look like in that PSG team in L1!
I don’t think I would be spending ~100m on that level of risk to facilitate a scenery change
Rogers though is a different level imo
@YankeeGunner@clivepafc Don’t agree at all with the discussion that we don’t need a midfielder
Rice’s hamstrings are hanging by a thread
Not sure Zubi can capture early season form
Going by MLS’s 5 game sample size?!
Norgaard?! Odegaard who gets injured if someone sneezes near him?!
Not for me Clive
Newcastle are aware of what is happening. This is an attempt to soften them up so they panic after the Isak saga and sell at a price Arsenal like.
Arsenal have not yet made a bid, all this talk of verbal offers through intermediaries is just agent nonsense. There has been no offer let alone a second one.
For a transfer to accelerate or proceed Arsenal would need to talk to Newcastle directly. Newcastle have no offer to consider at the moment. They don’t even know if one will come as it’s all been fuelled by agents at the moment. There is irritation but also an understanding of how the market works.
The asking price will be around the same as the Tonali fee. Not £60m. Not £75m.
And Bruno will have to agitate to leave. He will have to demand a transfer.
A lot of twists and turns to come I’m sure #nufc
Rodri: “When you're playing against eleven men packed into the box, breaking them down is difficult, and it's not a physical issue. At that point, what matters is having finesse, beating the opposition with skill and talent, and we didn't do that often enough.”
