Have you ever wondered why flowers of the same species can look so different?
In Curcuma caulina, a wild ginger from Western Ghats, India, we found that color is only part of the story. These morphs also differ in nectar, pollinator visits, and seed production.

Pleased to share our new publication in @bioprotocolbyte, where we describe a detailed method for generating the progressive #Mouse model of Parkinson’s disease. Congratulations to @Santhosh_subs for his first publication. https://t.co/hby5RNHJMq
@Santhosh_subs, gave a fantastic talk showcasing our lab's work on a SynFib model at #IAN2025. Volume of audience clap showed what a 👌 job he did. Proud mentor moment.
#PhDone! 🎓Congratulations Dr Gauri!🎉

Today, 166 years ago Alexander von Humboldt died (he was 89 years). He changed the way we think about nature (describing it as a web of life) & predicted climate change. Can't believe it's been 10 years since I published 'Invention of Nature'. It's change my life. In so many ways
Really excited to say that my lab's paper on color transitions in Mimulus sect. Erythranthe is out! We found that some traits demonstrate evolutionary convergence in phenotype & genotype, while others are divergent, & that this matters for bee choice!
