the first freelance job I got was from me recording a loom demoing that I could understand / do the task

my upwork profile was brand new with no ratings so I removed as much doubt as possible by sending the loom

I was skeptical about the google ads suggestions because before when I listened I ended up running unprofitably

now my plan is to always have at least one experiment running at all times

im setting up google ads like anthropic

brutal experience from google

documenting it roughly for now but I'll share more if I can finalize

here is why it's brutal.

i have needed to
- spend time figuring out to access google ads api in the first place
- set up a manager ad account (instead of normal)
- create a service account in gcloud console
- add the service account to my manager ad account
- need to submit a "Design documentation of your tool" so I wanted to have claude create a tool by testing the api first
- need to find the link to create a separate test manager ad account
- found the link and the sign up flow looks exactly the same until you submit the form which is confusing
- sign up and go to get my api key and the it says the test account uses my prod api
- try to check my access and it fails
- need to add the service account to my test manager account as well
- finally can create test campaigns
- now need to create my skills + submit for approval

hopefully the rest goes smoothly and I can share how I got this set up

A view for conversations attached to a pr would be awesome

i.e. all of these had threads were run while on a specific branch or pushed to that branch

maybe actually some sub organization inside each project so I can see my threads associated with some feature as a whole

I find myself pinning a bunch of threads but then I lose context for the project as a whole
