@scottagunn IMHO, provoked sure, sans strawman maybe?…what is unique about what the church needs from general convention to meet/cast our mission? What is essential that nothing (legislative) can be done apart from it (e.g. prayer)? What are secondary/tertiary effects as these are aligned?

@scottagunn 3/3 It is a nice line, but Congress is easy to throw under the bridge. They are all paid (no volunteers) and meet a whole lot more often than one or so weeks every three years. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@scottagunn 2/3 In between each meeting by the parishes in that city and everywhere we are. The councils of the church are vital and valid ministry and are present in the ordination vows and baptismal covenant. This line feels to me like they are being set against prayer/bible study/service
