There’s no proof it was an exonym, and it certainly wasn’t coined by the Greeks over a millennium later. As a name for the region, Palestine has been used far longer than Judea ever was.

There's heaps of information on the Wall St slave markets in this book published in 1892.

And huge qtys of southern cotton were traded and shipped through New York, including for several decades after abolition. It was by far the largest commodity on the exchange.
