@UltraLinx Please don't use @Cloudflare so quickly. They have no spending limit and you will need to build that infrastructure yourself. One mistake in the code or you don't handle limits correctly, people end up paying thousands of dollars. Be careful!
Everyone please don't fall for false advertising of @Cloudflare@CloudflareDev. They have several billing issues that you can find easily on reddit and their customer support is bad. I moved from GCP to Cloudflare and that was a terrible mistake. Got to move back now!
@dinasaur_404@Cloudflare Yes looking for billing cap. How do you test dynamic workers as well as dynamic workflows in local dev? We had a disastrous outcome of losing $800 because the deployed code ran into infinite loop using dynamic workflow. Support team was not at all helpful.
Please stay away from @Cloudflare. They have no hard limit on spending and one mistake can cost a lot of money. Plus there's no good way to test dynamic workers or workflows locally and in the cloud you can really mess up. It is an unethical company so stay away!
@ade_oshineye There is no way to control cost in Cloudflare. Imagine you make a mistake where your dynamic workflow keeps triggering itself the whole night and you wake up to a $800 bill. This is what happened with us. With regular servers, this insane scaling would be impossible.
@AdamAutomates@CloudflareDev You can read of other billing experiences online. In one case somebody got more than $4000 bill due to overuse of D1 and that person has to build tools to prevent this from happening. It's sad that cloudflare won't give anything out of box when there are other providers that do.
@AdamAutomates@CloudflareDev I am just baffled that when we are talking about agentic development for dynamic workflows, that there is no way out of the box to control what your expense would look like. I doubt most companies need this high level of scaling by default.
@AdamAutomates@CloudflareDev Problem is with managing billing. In one case, we got a bill of $800 overnight (can't monitor alerts while you are sleeping and there is no hard spending limit). One developer ran into infinite loop with dynamic workflows which you can't test locally and hence the bill.
@Cloudflare@CloudflareDev It should be required by law for clouds to have a set limit on expenses for the month. Without such an explicit limit, we are liable for any amount. @vercel@deno_land@Railway are already doing this well. Greed is not good.
@kevin_flansburg@Kimi_Moonshot Please don't use @Cloudflare. The serverless world is a scam where there is no control over the expense and Cloudflare doesn't care. How can a company be allowed to charge any amount of money with no upper limit!!! Use servers, have a fixed expense and don't go for serverless
@Cloudflare@CloudflareDev I don't understand why you don't have the option for spending limits when other platforms are doing it. For e.g. https://t.co/iVA2KE2xHb
@Cloudflare@CloudflareDev Very disappointed that one developer mistake resulted in a $600 bill overnight and you won't help with this. There's no way to enforce a spending limit and it seems others have experienced even worse issues but you guys have done nothing to solve this.
@AAI_Official I am not even able to request for a refund because their site is crashing. What am I supposed to do? Take a flight on Friday which will be entirely useless for me because it's convenient for Indigo's rescheduling? Please act immediately on this.
@IndiGo6E First you cancelled my flight from Kolkata to Hyderabad. The option you gave was ridiculous where you moved flight from 4th to 5th Dec by when the event will be over. I went to your link to choose another flight but then your site crashed with the most basic JS error
@AAI_Official I request you to kindly look into this matter. How can a customer handle this kind of situation where the airlines system is crashing and there's no way to reach them? Only 1 hr ago I was notified that my flight was cancelled and now I can't choose a viable option.
