"This is not at heart just a climate crisis. It is a capitalism crisis.....Capitalism cannot exist outside an ethical context, and that is what makes it a sociopathic mindset."
Powerful framing! Also, the class war is a symptom of the capitalism crisis.
NEW: In @ScienceMagazine today, our latest peer-reviewed research shows Exxon scientists predicted global warming with shocking skill & accuracy between 1977 & 2003, contradicting the company's decades of climate denial. THREAD.

I replaced the gas stove in my former house with an electric induction stove, best decision ever. Better in every way. You people with your knickers all in a twist defending gas stoves sound like dinosaurs trying to drag us all into the past
The climate science is clear, but scientists are being ignored, shunned & dismissed. This reckless government is silencing truth and dissent. We must be resilient and resistant. Together we can make ourselves impossible to ignore: https://t.co/CBp28trbEq
BREAKING: Bernie Sanders, incoming chair of the Senate Committee overseeing health care, has written Moderna urging it to halt its vaccine price increase from $26 to $130. He calls out that the vaccine costs just $2.85 to produce, and that public funds subsidized its development.
Corporate greed is Southwest getting a $7 billion bailout during the pandemic & spending $5.6 billion on stock buybacks to enrich wealthy shareholders, while stranded passengers are threatened with jail time for the crime of trying to rebook canceled flights during the holidays.
Being sustainable doesn’t mean just keep doing what you’re doing in a slightly less planet-fucking way.
It means stopping doing the planet-fucking things. Altogether.

No justice should serve more than 18 years — which means the time for many of the current justices would already be up.
The top 1% are disproportionately devouring all our futures.
And the rest of us have been hoodwinked into idolising & striving to be part of that 1%.
The desire to over-consume fuels our capitalist society. It is the cancer eating away at our futures.
We absolutely, positively, do not need two strong political parties. We need public servants committed to serving the needs of the working class, not the billionaire class - period. End of discussion.
What's going on in this country right now is class warfare. Unfortunately, the wrong side is winning. Our job now is to stand up and take on the greed of the billionaire and corporate class.
