@MTA please check all train cars have correct signage. My commute home was delayed by 45 min because the N train I got on turned out to be the Q. The digital sign wasn't working outside or inside the car & no one knew for sure. I missed my son's bed time as a consequence :(
Advice for #digitalhealth vendors: 1. Know your customer 2. Fulfill a purchaser need 3. Be ROI & KPI obsessed. 🙏to Richard Safeer (JHU), Henry Tang (Delta), @drevecunningham (Providence), and Heather Dlugolenski (Cigna) for an insider look @CF_Pearson#hlth2023
Super proud to share a new @PetersonCHealth initiative advancing our mission of making higher quality, more affordable healthcare a reality for all Americans. Introducing the @Peterson_HTI: a new nonprofit aimed at driving the adoption of high-value technologies.
“Increasingly, I think patients, health insurers, providers and even investors are really saying, ‘How do we make sure digital health tools work, and what does work even mean?’ " https://t.co/82U730V1yU
Our Executive Director @CF_Pearson speaking today to @SenateFinance@SenFinance about the importance of data transparency:
“My testimony puts forth a range of policy options that Congress and the Executive Branch should consider to advance healthcare data transparency…

🚨 A notoriously anti-abortion judge has issued a ruling in Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA. We'll have more soon, but as we noted in our analysis earlier this year, the consequences of a nationwide ban on mifepristone could be devastating. https://t.co/LBb2RQ8HO7
After a mind expanding few days in Nashville for #ViVE2023 (cybersecurity policy, claims resolution, price transparency regulatory oversight, rev cycle management, oh my), it's good to be home. @LGAairport
"This notion that people should navigate the system isn't right. You can't shop the system if you are unconscious...Employers who pay for the majority of healthcare in the U.S. should be using the data to ask hard questions." #Vive2023 --@N_Brennan
#vive2023 hospital pricing transparency panel: @prabhjotsinghNY: "Only 9% of Americans known they can get price information. It begs the question...who is this for?"
One can never be sure, but one can't help but think that a little, non-profit generic upstart @CivicaRx may be moving markets, helping increase affordable access to insulin for patients who rely on this life-saving drug https://t.co/tOugkQHmiI #insulin
Just found out my fave nerdy health policy podcast @tradeoffspod is launching a newsletter. Score! Look forward to reading vs. listening during morning commute on the @mta, as NYC is ~10 years behind other cities in providing underground wifi access :( https://t.co/uWdOFzxddZ
The substantial and steady growth in ER and other urgent care claims over the past 25 years-- as reported by @KFF, raise some questions - is this an indication of upbilling? Waste? Uptick in complex emergency cases? Something else?
Looking forward to hearing how #digitalhealth technologies can improve health outcomes and #healthcareaffordability at #vive2023. Would love to connect if you're planning to attend. https://t.co/tsNahr2a1J
We love healthcare
But as spending grows
Tradeoffs ensue
Creating hardship and woes.
We must bend the cost curve
To remain competitive
And ensure that all Americans
Have a healthy life to live.
