Water is the pulse of life — and the U.S. is deliberately targetting the lifeblood of the Iranian people.
As part of its aggression against Iran, the U.S. military has deliberately struck vital civilian water infrastructure in Sirik, Hormozgan, destroying two reservoirs with a combined capacity of 2,500 cubic meters.
These facilities supplied drinking water to more than 20,000 residents across ten villages.
This is not collateral damage — it is a calculated war crime and a flagrant violation of human rights and international humanitarian law.
The U.S. must be held accountable for committing such systematic brutal attacks on civilian life-sustaining infrastructure.
If any of my students wrote a paper with the argument that country X, or leader Y is a monster, I would not just flunk them, I would write a comment at the end of the paper that would traumatize them for the rest of their lives. This level of sophomoric nonsense is unbearable, especially when you remember the very high positions these cretins have held in teh US government. And one more thing. The ugliness of Nuland's "oh my goodness" response deserves a particular attention. I think she should be viciously ridiculed for it not because she is ignorant and biased, but because she feels entitled and powerful in her ignorance and bias.
Much of what is being said about the developments in the Strait of Hormuz—freedom of navigation under international law, the sovereign right to military contracts, the American military presence in the region, the role of the UN Security Council and the United Nations in maintaining global peace and security, and so much more—has little to do with the reality created by the war the United States and Israel waged on Iran.
All of this is discussed as if no war ever happened. As if no political leadership was assassinated. No infrastructure was destroyed. No children were slaughtered. As if international law stops functioning when violated by Israel and the United States—only to spring back into action against those who dare stand in their way.
The world after this war is not what it was before. Two illegal wars were forced upon Iran, following the mass killings in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen. And the only thing that deterred the aggressor—or ever could—was force, not international law. The war has exposed the true extent of American power. And that, ironically, is the greatest gain for everyone who has suffered from it and from its ally, Israel.
As for the Strait of Hormuz, Iran secured it for decades without conditions or restrictions. But once it was used by its enemies, Iran gained every right to defend itself and prevent its enemies from using it again. The way forward is clear: a coordination mechanism to prevent the aggressor’s equipment and forces from entering without oversight. Such coordination harms no one in the region.
But when some choose to align themselves with the United States and Israel, in any shape or form, it only complicates regional relations. And that is exactly what the two aggressors want. They know full well that the situation in Hormuz will never return to what it was—meaning, never again without Iranian oversight.
Not many years ago GCC countries rejected the proposal of reformists in Iran to avoid any security arrangements involving foreigners to the region.
No what they thought their guarantee has become their vulnerability.
It is too late to go back to the previous order now.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia highly appreciates the US President Donald Trump's decision to give diplomacy a chance to reach an acceptable agreement to end the war, restore the security and freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to its state prior to February 28th, 2026, and address all points of contention in a way that serves the security and stability of the region.
Saudi Arabia also highly appreciates the ongoing mediation efforts carried out by Pakistan in this regard. Saudi Arabia looks forward to Iran siezing the opportunity to avoid the dangerous implications of escalation, and urgently responding to the efforts to advance the negotiations leading up to a comprehensive agreement to achieve lasting peace in the region and the world.

Some say that the alignment of Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last shah, with Israel has made him “a useful idiot” and that he has acquired an autocratic streak akin to the ayatollahs https://t.co/DPSIRlM7gl
@amanpour It makes sense if Ahmadinejad was an Israeli asset from the beginning. Everything he did benefited Israel and damaged Iran.
He also met with Epstein.
What are the chances that he is an Israeli agent?
Whatever he did damaged Iran and benefited Israel. He met with Epstein and now this.
No smoking gun (yet) but the results speak for themselves.
I wrote this @ForeignPolicy piece five years ago, arguing that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ambitions beyond #Iran's presidency. I wrote about his rebranding campaign and long-term plans. Honestly, @nytimes report today was not surprising to me at all!

It should be obvious by now that Israel’s goal was not to actually come up with a viable regime change plan, but to convince the Trump administration that they had a plan.
Israel’s primary goal was to get us into this war, knowing that once we were in it we’d have a hard time leaving. So far their actual plan is working.
Israel is comfortable with Iran spiraling into chaos & this war being a long & costly slog for us. Until we realize that Israel has drastically different objectives in this war we will be stuck in the current cycle.
BIG SCOOP: US-Israel goal was to install former President Ahmadinejad as Iran's leader (aka Delcy)

The next grand lie being rolled out to justify their illegal 'war of choice' is the claim that they are 'preserving peace and stability in global energy markets.'
In reality, though, it was the reckless warmongering of the U.S. and Israeli regimes that shattered promising diplomatic processes and, through an unprovoked military aggression against Iran, deliberately injected insecurity into vital energy routes — only then to accuse Iran of destabilization, in order to put into practice Goebbels’ infamous dictum: "Accuse others of what you yourself are doing."
This is their familiar, cynical playbook: manufacture crisis and war, then escalate further under the noble banner of 'restoring stability' and 'defending peace.'
“They create a desolation and call it peace."

The true reason behind Iran’s plan to charge toll payments is maintaining an explicit mechanism to punish further aggressions. Iran does not want to rely on purely military action to exercise the this sort of punishment.
This is pure game theory. To incentivize a beha you either punish or reward. So far the US has not cared about any concessions as a reward. Clear example was tearing up the JCPOA.
Explicit control of the strait of Hormoz is the only stable path.
#IranWar #geopolitics #Hormuz
Iran having a de facto but explicit control over the strait of Hormoz is probably the only solution that could stabilize the region.
The reason is the need for a /punitive/ mechanism in case of a breach of agreement by the US as there is no incentive for the US not to attack again.
Alternative/rewarding/ mechanisms to encourage the US to respect the agreement did not work in the past. JCPOA and pre-war negotiations offered access to Iranian market and tried to guarantee the deal by economic entanglement but they didn’t work.

@Majidshakeri8 I wouldn’t put it in this declarative way but I think there are strategic reasons for such outcome to be a stable solution. A punishment works far better than a reward as a guarantee.
