What happens when we take Andrej Karpathy’s legendary “The spelled-out intro to neural networks and backpropagation” — and rebuild it line by line in Rust? This is what @EncodePanda is showing us right now.

@PensionsMonkey At a minimum, the over-65 cash ISA rule should have been the private pension access age instead. I’m planning on retiring at 57 and won’t be able to use a cash ISA to hold the money I’ve drawn to live on
@thEnd0fTheStorm I never said no risk. There’s a difference between risk and gambling. Do you think there’s no risk in holding cash for the long term? Just have a google around or maybe investigate how your pension works.
I think we’re done here. Have a good weekend.
@thEnd0fTheStorm Higher risk is the price you pay for higher reward. Invest for the long term. Nobody has ever had a negative return when investing for over 20 years. This stuff is easy to research, it is well understood. Enjoy having your cash ISA eroded by inflation.
@MartinSLewis I appreciate the reply. As regulation evolves, I hope you'll consider ways to use the knowledge and insights already being shared by trustworthy voices on YouTube and Instagram - to those who value your guidance
@MartinSLewis We both know that investing is NOT gambling, but any time you talk about it, your replies are full of people uninformed and saying so. There are so many good commentators on youtube and beyond providing such valuable insight, but your reach is so much higher
@MartinSLewis Martin, do you have a part to play in this? From my experience you've not talked about investing as much as saving. I do worry that we've missed out on some years of education because of too much focus on cash and saving rather than investing
Looking back, it was a lot easier to focus without all the distractions and all the fake info. When you have just one book about Turbo Pascal in your entire city, you better sit your butt down and get to work. I cannot imagine how kids must feel having to learn anything nowadays.
