@TorBox@choehau_alen so this is just Gnome and you can get this by installing Fedora Workstation or Fedora Silverblue actually. why are you using the corporate account to be a bitch

@ChangeWindows@ahernandez094 IoT Enterprise LTSC is a virtual edition of Enterprise LTSC. that is, in fact, what we are talking about. Windows 10 21H2 runs out of support on January 2032.
@Jerm125067 @pablothinghouse TPM is not a hardware level malware blocker at all. it's a tool used for disk encryption and secure boot. it has nothing to do with malware. at all.
@herinsidez @SoupTimeV3@eepyeri there's no "forgetting" to delete these very sensitive and important photos. it should all be done fully automatically. that's the sane and correct thing to do, and not doing that is negligence.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need a Microsoft account to run Windows.
You do need a Microsoft burner account to set up the FIRST account during setup, same as MacOS.
After that, set up all the local accounts you like. It's what I do. Total time delta: 3 minutes.
OP says "I don't know who needs to hear this." Neither do I. To whom was this post even theoretically addressed? The people complaining about Win11 don't want to create Microsoft accounts at all. Exactly when and how often you are forced to use them is not the issue.
@aduzsardi@geerlingguy yeah, you can just do domain join to make a local account on pro, but if you don't have network access where you are, you can't finish setup. that does really make me mad.
@aduzsardi@geerlingguy it's for both Home and Pro (and Pro for Workstations). you don't have the option to skip network setup in the oobe. you only get that option on Education or Enterprise versions.
you can't skip it on normal versions of Windows 11 normally, and they're patching loopholes. no good
