A nobody on the internet. Engineer during the day, book writer and lamenting for the old internet at night. Follows might not be an endorsement, just interest.
I gave Wayland a shot yet again last week with a new laptop. At this moment the only one that isn't giving me any show stoppers was Hyprland. You'd think after a decade at this point they could surpass 40 year old tech but when you can't watch a video without jittering (low framerates), or having random freezes, crashes or tearing... something they claim shouldn't happen, we are definitely going backwards.
Outside of Omarchy doing whatever it is they're doing, there's been little to no innovation outside of rewriting everything under the sun in rust over the past several years it seems.
I drive up and down I-95 through this area all the time. What sucks is the fact that if some moron stops on the bridge (it happens a lot), they wreck and then you basically have to drive towards Sumter and down US 601 just to bypass this bridge to go south. They need another one nearby.
