Congratulations on FerretDB launching v1.0.
We feel that FerretDB is, in spirit, the successor of the very same goals that we had with ToroDB: to help MongoDB users find a home in Postgres.
Glad to see this open source effort take off. Give it a try!
It's here! #FerretDB 1.0, the truly #opensource#MongoDB alternative is now GA.
FerretDB adds MongoDB compatibility to #PostgreSQL. Released under Apache 2.0.
We would like to thank the OSS community and everyone who helped us along the way.

@kenrugg "you don’t have to get on the AWS train or be locked into MongoDB’s proprietary future if you want a MongoDB compatible API [...] Take a look at ToroDB with PostgreSQL compatibility" (https://t.co/XOv9os8pxO)

AWS DocumentDB actually seems to provide a MongoDB compatible (more or less) wire protocol backed by Aurora PostgreSQL: https://t.co/S6WzvCeTes
