@diet_worm@OVTweetmarck Except SCOTUS has held you can possess obscene material within the home. Applying the applicable precedents, itโs hard to see how the 7th Circuit could have come out differently in this case.
@OrinKerr This cuts to the heart of a problem that just permeates our society. Bad policy is not necessarily unconstitutional, and good policy is not necessarily constitutional. People seem to have a really hard time with this.
@magicmaggotmilk@LyingKJP@GaTech_Spartan@washingtonpost It comes from a case that was overruled almost 60 years ago, and there are plenty of constitutionally protected instances where you could yell fire in a crowded theater.
@teknopunk_com@Jason The fact that the only three people there wearing face masks are sitting together suggests that they probably all live in the same household, and that one of them is immunocompromised.
Or theyโre just afraid of their own shadows.
Probably the former; maybe the latter.
@BlueandGray1864 Iโm thankful that the core of the Jamestown site is privately owned. Preservation Virginia seems to actually be proud of Jamestown, whereas the NPS exhibits seem to be mostly ashamed of it.
