Ok. I guess I have to address this. The information on your phone app comes FROM data provided by NOAA for free. NOAA gathers weather data (daily balloon launches) and feeds it into the modeling so your phone can tell you it's going to rain tomorrow. Saying we don't need NOAA or the NWS because I can see the weather on my phone, is like saying we don't need farmers because I can just go to the grocery store. End of rant. @alexgleith That’s true, changing processors starts to show some of the magic under the hood. Can also pass the flag ‘—platform linux/amd64’ into the docker build command. It seems like docker is trying to expand support for different architectures
If you are looking for an amazing data engineer you can’t do better than Jeff! His knowledge of OSM is second to none. He did some of the most impressive data work I’ve seen setting up dynamic disputed borders for the Snap Map. Anyone who can nail all the Kashmir borders is 🤩
The single most undervalued fact of linear algebra: matrices are graphs, and graphs are matrices.
Encoding matrices as graphs is a cheat code, making complex behavior simple to study.
Let me show you how!
@whiteboxgeo This is pretty awesome work! Really wish this existed a couple years ago (still don't know if I calculated some of those kernels correctly). These curvature derivatives are great for terrain analysis.
