This ubiquitous-ization of tokens across AI now is gonna backfire. It’s not good enough, people don’t like it enough, and too many are out of work because of it to put up with being SaaS’d by the hour. The economics don’t make sense. Plus the people who need it are priced out.
@deedydas Same cycle as Web 1.0. And then it came crashing down. Pretty depressing while also being some type of Lotus Eaters dystopia for people hoping to hit the jackpot or strike gold.
@aakashgupta@aseemchandra Yep. They are pretending the train isn’t coming down the tracks to barrel them down. They were brilliant several years ago creating pricing and access for small business, but now with all the alternatives the ‘cable tv model’ will be their downfall.
@michaelmiraflor when ad tech was nascent - we dreamed of a time where we could truly personalize ads with tech. not sure we imagined it was going to turn out like this!
