A robot couldn't stop dancing at a HaiDiLao Hotpot restaurant in Cupertino, California, sending food and chopsticks flying despite the best efforts of three staff members.
@amanpour “Pushed for crackdown,” “kinetic actions”. Pretty fancy words to describe the mass murder if tens of thousands of people in 2 days.
But yeah, I’m sure it’s the second bullet: that he said mean things about the US and Israel.
This thread.👇 Put much better than I. (I broke my twitter fast after reading this article but am glad to see Twitter was able to handle it without me… 😅)
Fascinating to see how the New York Times is treating Joe Kent's resignation - a principled stand from a serious counterterrorism leader - compared to how they treated his appointment in the first place - the elevation of a conspiracy theorist with extremist associations.
@BernieSanders@grok is Joe Kent an antisemite who believes in various antisemitic conspiracies, such as about Israel (falsely) being responsible for the 2003 US War in Iraq?

NEW: In response to Hezbollah joining the war last night and attacking Israel, Lebanon’s prime minister is calling its operations illegal and demanding its disarmament. Prime Minister Salam called for “the immediate ban of all Hezbollah security and military activities and considering them illegal,” and directed the group to surrender its arms.
It is the first time in history that the Lebanese state has moved against Hezbollah - even if by words only - during a confrontation with Israel.
@BriannaWu “ The entire problem with the pro pali movement is they cannot make any point without misleading people.”
Yes. It’s crazy how much this is true. You cannot have a successful discussion with the few who are willing to engage without them relying on inaccuracies or omissions.
“Our administration has no tolerance for antisemitism. We just hire people who do Inquisition and Holocaust inversion and dehumanize Jews and Israelis… shame on the shifty/manipulative ADL for not understanding antisemitism.”
🚨JUST IN - REPORTER: People on your transition team supported the killing of Jews after October 7th...will you reject them from your administration?
ZOHRAN MAMDANI: "...there's a wide variety of political opinion."
Wow. That's BAD. 🤯
@realrabbilinda Also, there is no way a guy who wears a kippah needs to read (and struggles while reading) the Hanukkah prayers. It’s ok if you’re Jewish and don’t know the prayers. But to not know the prayers and pretend you’re conservative/orthodox? It’s just extremely odd and… creepy.
Sir Stephen Watson, Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police:
‘I think it's some very important point to reflect upon that Jewish children are the only children in our country who, day to day, go to school behind large fences guarded by people with busy jackets, and where there are routine police patrols in and around those areas. Our Jewish communities put up with a way of life in our country today that nobody else has to put up with. I do think that there is something very significant in that, something very significant in the realisation of it, and we all, I think need to question ourselves afresh as the dynamic continues to change as to whether what we are doing continues to be adequate.’

@IhabHassane The license plates indicate the different governing bodies (ex: US vs. Canada). If it were citizens within Israel who were being treated differently, w/ different rules applied, that would be a flavor of apartheid. But these plates are from the Palestinian Territories.
