Doctors in training are encouraged to consult with senior colleagues when uncertainties arise.

However, resident doctors may face reprimand for excessive contact with senior staff.

This dynamic often stems from an environment of apprehension and detachment fostered by some senior doctors, creating a challenging cultural reality within medicine that is not adequately addressed.

From my perspective, a senior physician who is consistently inaccessible to resident physicians' inquiries should not be entrusted with supervisory responsibilities over them.
