We join the @Krcs_NRbBranch in mourning the loss of one of their dedicated responders โ a colleague we had the honour of working alongside during several search and rescue operations.
In every mission, he showed courage, commitment,
As IFRC, we mourn alongside @KenyaRedCross the loss of volunteer Samuel Wanyonyi Wangila, who gave his life in the line of duty. For 15 years, Samuel served with courage and compassion, always stepping forward for others.
His legacy of service and bravery will continue to inspire us all. Our thoughts are with his family and the KRCS team during this difficult time.
Samuelโs sacrifice will never be forgotten.
The eyes are shedding tears.
The heart is heavy with grief.
Our colleague Samuel Wangila, one of the search and rescue team members searching for a missing child washed away in the Nairobi flash floods has made the ultimate sacrifice.
Samuel was electrocuted, while still searching for the body of the missing child.
Illegal electricity connections are killing people everyday.
We mourn Wangila. We remain eternally grateful for the sacrifice he made everyday in service to community.
Rest in Power.
@amerix@amerix I am sure you have realized the tonnage of burdens that you have lifted off men through the continuous guidance on healthy living. I will continue supporting this call.
@amerix@amerix I agree with you 100%. This greatly changed my lifestyle and now fully dependent on my farm. Pumpkins, green farm fresh vegetables, avocadoes, banana, beans, eggs, chicken and other local fruits.
"Life is hard."
"Sugar is expensive."
"Maize flour is expensive."
"We are suffering because we cannot afford cooking oil."
"We cannot afford bread."
That's what brainwashed masses whine and lament about every day.
Yet, these foods from the farmer are nutritious and affordable.
We have refused to support the farmers.
We have refused to go back to the farms.
We are educated idiots.

As the drought situation gets worse in Kenya, I briefed the 14th Development Partnership Forum (DPF), chaired by Deputy President @_KithureKindiki, on the humanitarian situation in the country.
The DPF is a forum for engagement between the Government of Kenya and development partners including foreign embassies & missions, UN agencies and other development financing institutions.
More than 2.1 million people face an acute food crisis in arid and semi arid regions, with thousands of children malnourished and in need of urgent support.
Together with our partners including @ifrc@UNICEFKenya@WFP_Kenya@UNOCHA@ECHO_CESAfrica@USEmbassyKenya , we continue to provide urgent humanitarian interventions such as access to food, water and medicines.
While @KenyaRedCross emphasizes the need to scale up humanitarian interventions saving lives and livelihoods, we must also place climate risk management within Kenya's development planning and resource allocation.
Long term solutions are required now.
Why we must be concerned.....
The situation in Mandera, Marsabit,Samburu, Turkana and Wajir is critical.
Lives and livelihoods at risk.
We must act now.
Happy New Year. May this year sharpen our discipline, strengthen our character, and deepen our sense of purpose. Let us lead with integritโat home, at work, and in our communities. Hereโs to a year of building, providing, protecting, and becoming better men together. @amerix
I seriously agree with you. The road has degenerated into a very bad state with alot of new potholes. Some right on the sharp bends that risk travellers' lives and it just happened so fast which makes me question the quality of the road works.
